And We Are Off!

Happy Monday Funday, hope you didn't let it ruin your Sunday! Sorry it took me a bit to get the final numbers out! I had a few people who had paid, but didn't know their number...throat clearing sound - Mr. Brewer! (I am also excel spreadsheet challenged) Then by the time I got the numbers I'd figure to wait till the end of the lobster week. Some of you are very optimistic and some have very little faith!

Over the first few weeks of the season, we have been able to bring in 26 little buggahs! We are double the amount than we were last year at this time. As much as I'd like to sound like an Ivy League scholar and act much smarter than I am; There is no scientific explanation to this other than the traps were in about 10 days sooner, so we had a jump on the season. We would be much higher, but Murphy's Claw crew didn't really have their priorities straight! Not to worry, all 20 traps are in and soaking. We are still in "June Blues" mode just waiting for the water to warm up.

We should start seeing alot more in the next couple of weeks - Just in time for (#calloutcity) our west coast potters Tyler and Lindsey Caldwells 2nd annual 4th of July trip!

Just want to thank everyone for participating again! Just like every year in the past we have gained more people - lost a few along the way(losers), but have significantly increased the pot! This year we have $3,780 in the pot which is $940 more than we had last year!

This year we will be donating $378 to The Maine Coast Fishermen's Association - who at this time are currently fighting to save The Gulf of Maine fisheries from a massive wind farm project. https://www.mainecoastfishermen.org/
