Happy Memorial Day to all!!
Unlike most of you who have had the luxury of a nice, long, relaxing three-day weekend – as I also did – I was hard at work collecting content for this week’s blog! Many of you think this is an easy job...I want you to know that it takes many, many PBRs and a handful of visits to see Shawn T (Insanity) each week to come up with this brilliance!
Just to clarify as I think there are some people who are confused, not sure how.... But anywhose! To each their own:
Guesses are $20 per guess up to 3 guesses per person.
I am more than willing to answer peoples questions that they may have in order to help with a number selection or to give a little more insight on what we do!
Text or e-mail your guess to Liza or I, and Venmo your money to @LizaCasella. (Matt Albertazzi: Here!) Cash and check is also another option, just set up your payment plan with Liza or myself!
If your on this e-mail group then you have participated in the past or were pissed when I closed the betting last year and said you could not get in....
Once betting closes I will remove people who are not in the challenge from distribution list. Everyone is more than welcome and encouraged to follow along with the progress of Little Duder Lobster Co. catch and activities all season long by subscribing (Free) to the Lobster Pot Challenge https://www.littleduder.com/
And So The Roasting Begins (based on this weeks conversatons)
John Casella Sr. has asked numerous questions over the weekend to try and determine the lucky 2020 number. Albeit he has still not placed his bet, it gives me great hope that he is actually reading this and finally going to get a number in for the first time!
John Casella II said he’s not sure he can take us seriously this year because I went from a legit lobster boat to a "tiny" little thing. As he puffed on his stogey cracking a smile, I hit a golf ball 300 yards to the green. He zipped his lip right up! Yep, I still got the golf game down. I want it known that I could slay lobsters in my Lil' Duder row boat verifying that boat size is not an issue. Still no guess from him nor a trip on any of the Liza B fleet!
Rob Naylor says he doesn't want to take anyone's money, but enjoys the rants... this shit ain’t free (but is if you subscribe to blog on website)!!
Rob Banfield had NO idea that the guessing had even begun...interesting seeing how I know he is glued to his phone like Bill Shouldice 3 is to Facebook…I sent rules and regs two posts ago! I know he opened the email too because he commented on the video!!!! I know you’re all responding to boring emails and that mine make everyone’s week so I will rest happy with that. Due to Dads ignorance, I will reattach the rules and regs page so that none of you need to sift though "thousands" (eye rolling emoji) of e-mails!
Hilary and Margot!!! Amidst taking care of an 8-week-old, these two were some of the first to get their payments in to reserve their place in the pot and score two shirts. Because they’re awesome, they will also score some gear for baby Grey. People take note!!!
PSA: additional shirts on sale for $20 – shipping included! (#JakeAff)
Tyler Caldwell, still waiting on you know who to "sponsor"! Hehehehe
We saw bets rise over 50% from week 1 to week 2, 44 people with confirmed guesses and a pot worth $880! The final t-shirt went to Matt Brush who burst through the phone with excitement when I told him the news! Total pot last year was $1520 (ask Gina how nice it is to get a Venmo payment for that much!!) which means all you people who are planning to bet but haven’t still have some time...giddy up!
Alright…LFG (LET’S F$#%*@G GOOOOOO) people!!
Deadline for guesses is next Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 12:01AM EST!
Legit updates….
Capt’ Ben Cole's "Murphy’s Claw” has painted buoys and has already gotten salty (wet)! For those that need the Cliff Notes from previous posts, we added 5 more traps and another boat to the fleet this year, just to keep you on your toes.

The "Liza B" T-top project us underway. This will be especially important for my co-captain (WJBIII) since he expects to be driving the boat while I pull traps. Pics to be shared when done!

The crew assembles on Badgers Island on Thursday night "you'll be home by Friday so we'll be eating lobsters by Sunday" - Capt' Tony (neighbor). We know our VT families are saddened with our departure, but they did send us off with some luck – fresh water Dunmore lobsters, who’d a thunk!
I have decided that each week I will do a company spotlight (Few lines) highlighting local businesses run by friends and family! Stay tuned to hear about the fun things happening in our communities with some pretty cool people!
This weeks spotlight is, Thomas Dairy! This nearly 100 year old family business is located in Rutland, VT and is the premier source of milk for all of Central VT! It's the only milk you will find in our fridge (well, our VT fridge)! They not only produce great dairy products, but also some great swag...been wearing my new favorite hat for the last 6 days! Remember buy milk from your local dairy farmers, especially during this unprecedented time! They need our support!

Over n' out - Capt' Duder!

P.S. Sorry If I offended any of the above call outs! Can't be too careful these days. I don't need a lawsuit or such on my hands. P.P.S Content will get much better when traps go in water!
